New projects in remote locations

Do you have a specific project in mind for an area or purpose? Please come and discuss it with us.

We are interested in assisting with new projects in three ways:

  1. Due to flying many national and international organisations working across Madagascar, we are uniquely placed to advise you on other helpful contacts who might be working in the same areas. Or maybe we will just be able to give you the contact details of a nearby mission doctor!
  2. If you would like to use our aircraft to help you with your project we often can arrange extra funding to allow us to offer you subsidised travel. The MAF support offices adopt these projects and raise funds throughout the year to allow us to subsidise flights.
  3. If you wish to start a project in an unreachable area, we might be able to help make it more accessible by helping build a runway.

Recent projects have included:

  • Mercy Ships flew with us to conduct screening visits in many remote locations. We later flew patients back and forth for surgery by their visiting medical team, enabling access to healthcare that patients would not otherwise have been able to receive.
